Vesuvius 4x4 & Wine Tasting

Travel from Sorrento by bus up the side of the volcano and when you reach the end of the access route for coaches change onto an ecological bus 4 x 4 which has low environmental impact, (Each bus shuttle is equipped with air conditioning, microphone and has 27 comfortable seats).Arrive at Terminal Busvia del Vesuvio in Boscoreale in Via Cifelli (entrance of Vesuvius National Park). This is not the main entrance so is not crowded and drive up the hill of the National Park of Vesuvius. Arrive at the Reserve AltoTirone, disembark the bus and begin the nature trail along the old road Matrone's Road which takes about 25 minutes to reach the top Piazzale Superiore which is at 1050 meters altitude. This path is much quieter than the main route where the coaches stop.Walk along the path that leads to the large crater, with an Alpine guide (required for access to the crater). Here, there are spectacular views spanning the entire Gulf of Naples, the Sorrento Peninsula and the islands of Capri and Ischia. After the exhilarating climb, wind down with a visit to a wine farm ‘ Le Cantine del Vesuvio’ at the foot of Mount Vesuvius.Here you’ll stroll through the vineyards and learn about the winemaking process, then sit down for a leisurely lunch accompanied by a tasting of three of wine farm’s own wines: a white, a red and a rosé.
